Should I wash my mask?
Yes! It is important to remember to wash your mask. We wear masks as a courtesy to those around us however, we need to protect ourselves from our own germs. Moister is the breeding ground for bacteria. For those of us wearing masks all day remember to switch out your masks and wash them often...
Tips from Johns Hopkins Medical
* Masks made of fabric, such as cotton, can be washed in your regular laundry using hot water.
* After laundering your fabric masks, tumble dry them in the dryer on a high setting.
* You might consider using a non-scented laundry detergent if you are sensitive to perfumes so it is easier to wear the masks.
* You can also hand wash your mask, using hot, soapy water. Scrub the mask for at least 20 seconds, and dry them on high heat in the dryer.
How do it take care of my bonnet?
1. Wash on delicate or gentle cycle only in cold water along with mild/gentle detergent.
2. Air dry only. Lay flat or hang in clean dry space.
3. If the elastic is tight, gently “bounce stretch” the trim of the bonnet with your hands.
