Five Years of Created By LA — A Love Letter to My Community
Wow. I can’t believe it’s been five years.
When I started Created By LA, it wasn’t a business—it was a pastime. I was making things I loved, sharing them for fun, and somehow… people started asking to buy them. What began as a hobby turned into a small business, fueled by curiosity, creativity, and most importantly—community.
The truth is, these past five years haven’t been linear. I wasn’t profitable every year. There were seasons where I didn’t sell a single thing. But through all the highs and lows, one thing remained consistent: the people around me. I’ve been so blessed to have friends, family, and supporters who’ve encouraged me to try new things, stretch my creativity, and believe in the beauty of what I was building—even when I wasn’t sure myself.
Somewhere around year two or three, I got serious about understanding my brand and my why. Created By LA isn’t about chasing a million-dollar dream. It’s about creating a space for empowerment, connection, and self-expression. Whether it’s at a vending table, through a custom design, or even just a shared story online—I hope people walk away feeling joy. I hope they’re reminded to love themselves, appreciate their uniqueness, and feel inspired to be even greater.
This is still a side hustle, but it’s one that means the world to me. I allow myself to learn, to experiment, and to grow. And that freedom? That’s the true gift.
So today, as I celebrate five years, I just want to say: thank you. Thank you to everyone who has supported me, collaborated with me, shopped with me, encouraged me, and cheered me on. Thank you for being part of the CBL family.
Here’s to what’s next—and to continuing to create, grow, and shine together.
With love,
LA
